Ferrari F40 x Capristo: When Two Legends Meet

Getting our hands on any Ferrari is magical—but the legendary F40 is on another level entirely. Its mystique is undeniable. For us, it wasn’t simply about installing an exhaust system that enhances performance and preserves its iconic sound - it was about respecting the very essence that defines such an extraordinary car. 

Our new T309SS system was engineered under an exceptionally rigorous brief. Crafted and polished entirely in-house at Capristo’s factory in Sundern, Germany, it reflects the highest standards of precision and artisanal expertise. We developed a system with pneumatic valves that delivers a slightly quieter tone than the original when closed, and an even more aggressive note when opened. This approach maintains the F40’s signature character while making the transition between closed and open valves far more pronounced—something the original non-valved system could never offer.

Starting from a stationary frequency of 95 dBa, the sound drops to 88 dBa with the valves closed and surges to 120 dBa when opened, compared to the original system’s maximum of 110 dBa under acceleration. In this way, we’ve honored the wild spirit of one of Ferrari’s greatest creations—and, thanks to modern technology and our meticulous process, made it—dare we say—even greater.
